Disney Increases Annual Pass Cost: Effective immediately (Updated for 2020)
Less than a year after the last unexpected price increase, Walt Disney World ( and Disneyland, for that matter) have effectively increased the cost of an annual pass… again.
Disney has increased its ticket prices and annual pass prices nearly every year in its recent history.
The increases leave many Disney passholders frustrated, angry and reconsidering if they are being priced out.
With the increase, here is a quick list of the new prices:
We have loved being Disney Annual Passholders on the silver plan for years. Being local, we don’t really like to go at peak times anyway, so the blackout dates never bugged us.
With the increase, we will need to consider if we want to renew on the Silver pass or maybe consider the Theme Park Select Pass…of course, the blockout dates on that plan will seriously limit our ability to visit Hollywood Studios ( Disney’s crowd control attempt for Star War’s Edge).
We don’t have to make a decision until December, though, so we have some months to mull it over.
(Update: We did renew to the Theme Park Select and it works for us, so far. But, definitely consider your favorite Disney parks and travel plans to determine if the Theme Park Select Annual Pass will frustrate you or not.)
What are your thoughts on the Disney Annual Pass price increase? Will you be changing your pass, renewing or walking away?
